The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia uses Oshyn to reimagine its Sitecore-based staff intranet, allowing employees to access critical news, processes, and documents more efficiently.

The Challenge

Analysts tracking real-time economic shifts and cybersecurity teams ensuring the stability of the banking system are just a few departments at the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia that depend on their intranet to unlock critical documents, news, and processes.

However, an outdated visual design, inconsistent UI patterns, and accessibility gaps made it hard for employees to find critical resources, slowing down everyday tasks and harming productivity.

The bank required an accessible and maintainable interface that would enable them to expedite updates and meet WCAG requirements. To provide that modernized experience, they reached out to Oshyn.

The Solution

Oshyn was chosen to modernize the intranet due to its extensive expertise in Sitecore. They partnered with the award-winning Massachusetts-based digital agency Imarc to deliver a modern, scalable front-end within the bank’s Sitecore environment. This included a reusable UI system built with HTML5, Tailwind CSS, and advanced CSS3 layout techniques (CSS Grid and Flexbox), which would allow pages to be assembled quickly and behave consistently across devices.

Oshyn engineered a component library of modular, responsive blocks and templates tailored to Sitecore’s architecture. Each piece adhered to strict standards for scalability, maintainability, and WCAG, as well as federal accessibility guidelines, enabling editors to reuse and adapt components as needed.

The Outcome

Oshyn transformed the Federal Reserve of Philadelphia's intranet from a dated, fragmented interface to a unified, accessible experience that helps employees find resources faster and complete tasks with less friction. With accessibility baked in, the platform now meets federal guidelines while improving day-to-day usability, and internal teams have an easier time rolling out new updates.
