How Sitecore integrates digital marketing & personalization

Sitecore's dynamic and flexible Digital Marketing System (DMS) is a great way to manage your marketing, analytics, and web content all in one platform. At Oshyn's Tech Mornings: Content Management event, Sitecore's Alyssa Murphy discusses how Sitecore integrates digital marketing and personalization within their platform.

Jose Caballer, The Skool: “Can you talk just very briefly about how it integrates digital marketing for example, and personalization, things that, ‘ok now I have a CMS or I’m putting in place a CMS but I don’t want to just publish content. I want to also optimize the delivery and the relevance of the content.’ Talk a little about that.”
Alyssa Murphy, Sitecore: “When we talk about being able to bring in your digital marketing along with your content management, for Sitecore, it has kind of a unique platform. It’s all built on one platform for example, if I want to go in and I just want to add content and I want to go and test it, obviously that something that’s important. I don’t have to log-in to the different system, it’s all built Sitecore from the ground up and from a business user perspective it makes it very easy. I don’t have to sign-up to a separate analytics database, I don’t have to go to a separate test and target database, I can just do everything on one. From an implementation standpoint, it really has a kind of cost-barring. It’s like you just have to implement one system. When you have upgrades you just have to upgrade it. It doesn’t matter where your analytics are. Everything’s on the same release level, let’s put it that way. And, then something else that you were talking about as far as like doing evaluations. The Garter Magic Quadrant for multi-channel marketing is a tool that is actually a really good read. It’s the strength and weaknesses of probably 25 to 30 of different content management systems. They’re all in different price ranges, they’re in different levels so Sitecore is up on the leadership quadrant and there’s about 7 other companies there so it’s something that you can go and read about the different leaderships and what makes up a company that’s in that leadership quadrant .”
Jose Caballer, The Skool: “So what is it? Is it Gartner…”
Alyssa Murphy, Sitecore: “It’s the Gartner Magic Quadrant Report and it’s for multichannel marketing and it’s on our site.”
Jose Caballer, The Skool: “GARTNER MAGIC QUADRANT REPORT and that gives you comparisons between a lot of platforms?”
Alyssa Murphy, Sitecore: “Right. Garner is an industry analyst that is very respected in the field and we have it on our site and I’m sure you can find it in other places.”
Jose Caballer, The Skool: “So you can go to Sitecore.com and you can actually find it?”
Alyssa Murphy, Sitecore: “Sitecore.net!”
