Our Recipe for Success

Oshyn approaches the delivery of all our projects in a methodical manner. We don’t subscribe to any single Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC); instead we have a best-in-breed approach where we use some elements of waterfall in the Discovery and Design phases and more of an Agile approach during the Develop and Deploy phases. Oshyn believes that in the early stages of the project we need to ensure that we fully understand the business strategy and spend the extra time developing a solution that will provide a solid foundation for years to come. During the Develop phase, we transition to an Agile approach to allow our clients to see progress more quickly in order to provide us more rapid feedback. Oshyn understands that concepts that may have looked great in wireframes may not be as effective when fully implemented and may have to be adjusted.

The Discovery phase is about understanding the business strategy for the website as well as the functionality and requirements that will help the client achieve the goals and objectives set in that strategy.

In the Design phase, Oshyn begins the work of taking the business strategy and requirements provided in the Discovery phase and starts to map out a plan and blueprint for how to implement them into the site.

In the Develop phase Oshyn takes the concepts and designs that have been developed for the user experience, visual design, and technology and begins to build out the site in a test driven and iterative manner.

The Deploy phase ensures that the client is ready for the launch of the site and will be able to maintain the site after launch. Business users do a final round of user acceptance testing and both business and technical staff receive training on the new system.
