Open Text Web Solutions and RedDot CMS Support Services

Oshyn, Inc Enhances Open Text Web Solutions and RedDot CMS Support Services

Open Text Partner Oshyn, Inc delivers support services for existing Open Text Web Solutions and RedDot CMS clients to enhance performance and Return on Investment.

Los Angeles, CA — March 15, 2010 -- Oshyn, Inc., www.oshyn.com, an Enterprise Technology Agency with a reputation for delivering innovative business solutions for the web, mobile devices and enterprise technology platforms, announced today enhanced Maintenance and Support Services for Open Text CMS and RedDot CMS.

While companies are ramping up their online presence and looking to further engage online with social media – they are not necessarily in a position nor have they a desire to take on the expense or the challenges involved in adopting yet another CMS platform when that current platform is serving them well. Even if Open Text ultimately takes their combined CMS solutions offerings in a radically different direction – these investments remain viable and are practical for achieving the organization goals of 2010 and beyond. Many existing Open Text customers are better off investing in Web 2.0 / 3.0 enhancements, upgrades, support and design improvements with a services company that has extensive experience than seeking out a new CMS framework. Upgrading, performance-tuning, redesigning templates, etc, will deliver a better ROI particularly while companies are still guarding their IT budgets given the continued pressures in the economy.

Oshyn, Inc’s Open Text Web Solutions and RedDot CMS Maintenance and Support solutions include:
• Production Environment Build-Out
• Performance-Tuning
• Personalization and other high value enhancements
• Platform Upgrades
• Template Development
• Site Redesign
• Monthly Maintenance and Support

Oshyn has also developed several complimentary tools and features that we provide to our customers for minimal to no additional costs.  An example is a recently developed proprietary Environment Sync Tool which allows Open Text Web Solutions / RedDot CMS clients to keep multiple environments up-to-date with the latest code and allows the simple release from the development environment to the test environment.

“We’ve been providing Open Text / RedDot services for over 7 years,” said Travis Cole, COO of Oshyn, Inc. “We’ve found great success for our clients over these years leveraging the Open Text / RedDot solution framework along with our best practice configuration and build-out knowledge and skills as the critical factors for ultimate success.  Many times we have been called upon by Open Text or prospective clients to take over some very complex RedDot projects where the initial implementation went astray leading to significant performance issues or other project issues that threatened the Return on Investment.  There is no question the offerings and options available to organizations for tackling the challenges of Web Content Management continue to evolve at an incredible pace.  Many questions and theories are always bubbling on blogs and in trade press about the future of Open Text’s CMS platforms.  These discussions are fueled by developments such as the acquisition of Vignette and most recently NStein.  Oshyn remains confident our current and future clients will benefit from continuing to evolve, improving the performance and upgrading their Open Text WCM solutions more so than seeking out new platforms.”
